What is GED?
The GED tests offer you an opportunity to PROVE YOURSELF.
The General Educational Development Test was originally developed in
1942 to assess and quantify skills of returning WWII servicemen. Now
the GED measures the major and lasting outcomes and concepts associated
with a traditional four-year high school education. The test consists
of questions in five subject areas: social studies, language arts/writing,
language arts/reading, science, and mathematics. A GED Certificate is
awarded in Utah upon successful completion of the five tests.
You Are Not Alone!!
If you are studying to pass the GED Tests, you're in good company. In
2001, about 7,120 Utah adults passed the GED. Though most people who
pass the GED don't become world famous, Americans and Canadians alike,
from all walks of life, have successfully completed their GED tests
and earned diplomas. Some well known graduates are:
